Q.

Hi, My baby has HFMD... I got him checked with a pediatrician... he had fever which subsided... but the blisters are still there healing slowly... but from past 2 days i can hear the noise of chest congestion.. what can i do for that?

A. Hand foot mouth disease is viral in origin and mostly symptomatic treatment is required because it is a self limiting disease and here fever come and small eruptions may be seen itn hands foot face and other parts of the body along with oral ulcerations so give plenty of liquids to maintain proper hydration and maintain a good hygiene . Sotme multivitamin syrup along with antihistamine can be given . For oral ulcer dologel can be applied locally

A. Hello dear parent! Try giving indirect steam inhalation to reduce the discomfort. Regularly massage your baby with Babyhug cold pressed coconut oil for skin warmth. Keep your doctor posted about any changes or developments. Good luck and take care.

Q. #asktheexpert my baby boy is 10 months old now.. recently he got blisters on his skin... doctor said it as HFMD ...and gave a soap, lotion, and cream for him...it got decreased...later after a week again small rashes like mosquito bites are visible on baby leg and hand...is it again HFMD ..? is there a chance to get HFMD again when undergoing with treatment..?

My baby is suffering with high fever from yesterday.. have been putting him on paracetamol since then.. and I've observed some pink spots on his leg which slowly turned into blisters.. and that is when I got to know that he is again having HFMD.. he has already had HFMD two months back recently.. and again now.. is it normal that he got it for the second time in two months??
