Hi my baby girl is in 8 months old and she accidentally put descaling powder in her mouth and i cleaned her mouth and checked. Nothing is present there. How do i know if she swallowed or not. Kindly help me.

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children4 years agoA. the baby is 8 months of age it is not possible to tell whether the baby has swallowed some amount of the powder or not it is better to consult doctor once for examination of the baby

If you think your child swallowed something small that isn't sharp (like a plastic bead), you do not need to take him or her to the doctor right away. Call your doctor if your child starts to have any of the following symptoms: vomiting, gagging, drooling, not eating, stomach pain, coughing, or wheezing
