Hi My baby girl is 77 days old, her birth weight was 2.74 and while discharge she was 2.54. Now she is 4.1. Can I consider she's gaining enough weight?

A. child should double it's birth weight by completion of six months and triples by one year.. weight seems fine. you should give only breastmilk till completion of six months. start vitamin d and multivitamins supplements regularly

A. Hi dear Check if baby is gaining adequate weight. In the initial 3 months, babies put on about 1 kg each month. From 3-6 months, weight gain reduces to 1/2 kg/month. from 6-9 months, it becomes 1/3, and for 9-12 months, it settles to 1/4 kg. the birth weight doubles in the 4th month and triples when they reach 12 months of age I think this should help your cause
