Q.

Hi..My baby boy will be completing his 6 months in another 2 days..currently he is on breast milk and due to low supply of milk he is into formula.. doctor has told to start solids once he completes his 6 months. can i get some details on food chart for him after starting with solids.

A. definitely you have to start complementary feeding for the child when the child completes 6 months of age and you have to continue along with other breastfeeding or formula milk In COMPLEMENTARY FEEDING start with two rules Rule number 1 is that you have to give the food in the form which the child can swallow Rule number 2 is that always give a new food for for 5 to 6 days to see whether the child is able to digest that food or not as well as it will help in creating the taste in the child. you can gradually start all types of food made from cereals pulses vegetable milk and fruits. You have to start initially with less amount and gradually you can increase the amount
