Q.

Hi my baby boy is nine months old. He is flapping his hands and playing with his fingers (thumb finger mostly) sometimes. Sometimes tapping his head with one hand. Is this normal

A. it is important to meet the doctor to get the child examined. milestones assessment of the child needs to be done which will tell whether the child is having any development delay or not.z the child will be assessed for four major milestones that is 1.gross motor milestone 2.fine motor milesstone 3.social milestone 4.language milestone.

A. Hai good afternoon !! Yes it's common at this stage banging/hitting head, fussy,cranky for attention seeking.. Repeated saying no will help,ask his needs sometimes for asking anything they will do so then you say the word like you want water !!/toy!!milk ,if baby even not listening then engage into other activities like giving toys, blocks, puzzles,baby gear,dance with music, clapping slowly they divert from hitting, banging head, flapping hands...
