Q.

Hi, My baby (6 months old) started developing red patches all over her body and it looks like they are very itchy and flaring. I have seen a dr he prescribed clotrimazole powder but looks like its not very helpful. Not sure whether its a heat rash or something else. Note: I am consuming cow milk so not sure whether it's because of that or not as I am BF.

A. you will have to apply moisturizing lotion or cream more frequently and you can go for any good brand available in the market. you can apply the lotion after the child has been given a bath. avoid sunlight withoutz using a sunscreen. see that the child is well hydrated. if it is still not improving after applying moisturizing baby lotion after 3 to 4 days please visit your doctor. any good brand like atogla, venussiaz, oliatum, sebamed , citaphil etc

A. Sometimes these things can happen probably due to mosquito bite or some kind of an allergy if you’ve given cows milk maybe it is a cows milk related allergy but the rash and allergy would be different in that case further if the medicine that the doctors advice is not helping you then you may as well consult or dermatologist for better clarity
