Hi my 6 month old baby is having hiccups for 4-5 times today is this normal

A. hiccups in children occur due to gas which is present in the stomach.
during the feeding process child takes air along with milk and that air goes inside the stomach which irritates leading to hiccups. x
you have to offer feeding as well as do proper burping(for atleast 20 minutes) to decrease this problem andx it is a self limiting problem
during hiccups just give breastfeeding again and keep the child in upright position for burping which will stop the episode
