Q.
hi,my 4yrs old is coughing for weeks now,we visited a doctor,he gave me antibiotic and Alex junior (by Glenmark),I wanted to know wether this Alex junior cough syrup is safe for kids because I did some research and somewhere it says that it is banned.so if it is banned then why are doctors recommending this syrup.i just want to know wether it is safe or not.any doctors here?please help

Let me connect you you are very right it may have been banned but you have to understand the medicines are banned under the age of four years your child is 4+ which is why your doctor may have advised you this please have proper information that the government has made most of the medicines which were given freely previously under the age of food and your child is above that age
