Q.

hi my 3 months old baby is making some wheezing weird sounds feeling like she is having mucus in nose and throat..she is not having cold and cough from past 1 month...when she born after 20 days she got cold and cough doctor told that she has bronchalitis, joined in hospital at that time for treatment and cured...but still I have doubt that she may have mucus in lungs that's y she is doing weird wheezing sounds...what to do to clear mucus..can I give neubulizer for that or anything else.please suggest

A. examination is needed in your case to find the cause of such respiratory secretions they are respiratory secretions which is present in the narrow respiratory tract of the child. the sound of ghar... ghar.. is present when air passes over these secretions in the narrow respiratory tract. if the respiratory rate of the child is within normal limits and the child is not having any other complaints do not worry about the sound which is present due to respiratory secretions. if you feel that the child is having some difficulty in breathing you can always give nasal saline drops in the nasal cavity which will wash away the mucus present in the nasal cavity as well as the respiratory tract. the problem improve with increasing age of the child when there is broadening of the respiratory tract
