HomeQuestions & Answershi my 3 months old baby is crying a lot during night especially 12 o clk and she is not taking feeding during that time. and it persist upto 2 or 2.30 am. am facing this from past 45 days. after 3 o clk she starts to sleep. informed regarding this to our pediatrician he gave colic aid syrup. am giving the syrup on everyday nyt but still she doing the same thing. what is the reason? can u plz help me to overcome this.

A. Colic in babies may be considered when baby is crying for more than 2 to 3 hours with no other specific reason and in a high pitched cry with arching of the body and flushed face. There could be many causes for colic in babies like gerd immature digestive system allergies ingulping of aur while feeding and lactose intolerance. Mothers diet and lifestyle can also be a major factor. Managemfent could be in form of medicines like probiotics digestive enzymes antiflatulence and some home remedies. Avoidance of formula milk cow's milk . Cycling mfanuvours to relieve gas massage and proper burping after each feeding is also helpful .
