Q.
hi my 3 month old baby boy coughs a lot while being breastfed. Two days before his doctor checked his chest and all it was clear. Now from yesterday onwards he is playing a lot while he I feed him and sometimes he sucks very fast and coughs. He takes a complete feed only one time a day.Rest he sucks hardly for 5 minutes. His weight is 7.27kg and he is completely under breast feeding. How to overcome this problem?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cough in a child could be allergic , infective or due to some other cause like GERD so it needs properfr valuation before giving any medication .
Primarily you can give steam inhalation to the child for the improvement before consulting your doctor.

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy4 years agoA. The most common reason a baby chokes during breastfeeding is that milk is coming out faster than your baby can swallow. Usually, this happens when mom has an oversupply of milk.
