Q.

Hi , my 2 month old baby had mild conjunctivitis like tears and discharge in eyes . I was giving toba drops for 7 days . One of the eye watering has been reduced and other eye has tears and little discharge .. should I continue ?

A. Maam you must always consult your pediatrician itself and follow their guidelines about the duration for which any drops or medicine or ointment has to be applied. if the duration was 7 days that the doctor has said then you should ideally stop it. if you want to continue you must ask your pediatrician itself. because certain medications cannot be given beyond a certain duration. and moreover without seeing the baby it will not be fair to suggest anything as baby is still too small and the eyes are a very delicate area. take care.
