Q.

hi my 1 month child have benign neonatal sleep myoclonos...After 1 weei of my baby birth i found some jerky movements...i consult a doctor and they said it will resolve after 3 months....and she suggest sodium valporate syrup and benadon tablet... is this medicine a good one....now a days the jerky movement becomes less....and also i want to know what to do if he makes jerk...can we awake him when jerky movements

A. Hello, your baby boy is 1 month old and he is having a myoclonic epilepsy so it’s very better to get his eeg done and till then continue valproate syp

A. the baby is only one month of age to avoid further jerky movements is advisable to continue medicines for another two days at least by then most of the convulsions will be controlling
