A. Pimples or small bumps on a baby's face, especially in the first few weeks or months, are quite common and are often nothing to worry about. These are typically caused by baby acne, which occurs due to the hormones passed from mother to baby during pregnancy. Baby acne usually appears on the cheeks, forehead, or chin and often resolves on its own within a few weeks to a few months. However, if the pimples seem to be getting worse, are accompanied by other symptoms like fever, or if the skin becomes irritated or infected (red, swollen, or pus-filled), it’s best to consult your pediatrician for further advice. In most cases, baby acne doesn't require medical treatment, but a healthcare provider can offer guidance on proper skin care and help determine if another condition could be causing the pimples.
