hi, I was diagnosed with gestational diabeities it's been 5 weeks now my sugar levels are not stable , my fasting sugar stays High . can I take metaformin to control my blood sugar .is it safe while I am breast feeding my daughter ? if yes how much should I be taking

mam,self medication can be harmful ,it can affect your breastmilk supply
so please don't take any type of medicine without consulting your gynecologist.
I advise you to contact your gynecologist through call for this .
at home ,you can take green leafy vegetables, fruits like apple ,jamun more which help to maintain good sugar control.
drink plenty of water.
stay active
must follow your doctor's advice.
