Hi,I am Mother of almost 1 month old baby who is on breastfeeding milk.There has been no bowel movement and seems constipated since last 4 days.Not able to sleep properly.Pls advice.

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. it is totally normal for small children less than 6 months of age not to pass stool for 10 days also.
it is also normal if they are passing stool more than 6 or 7 times per day.
if the consistendcy of the stool is Semi solid to solid there is no need to worry about the frequency as well as the colour (the cdolour can range from yellow brown green to black) of the stool.
also straining while passing urine and stool is normal.
Do burping for 15 to 20 minutes
