Q.

Hi I am a mother of one year old baby girl. I got my periods 4 months after my delivery but after that month I didn't get periods upto 10th month . My last period came on September 4 2023 . This month I didn't get periods my thyroid level are 3.4 and I am using 50mg thyronorm . That is normal range , my question is is it normal to get irregular period after normal delivery?

A. Irregular periods are normal after delivery due to breast feeding but in your case it might be due to thyroid also try maintaining a healthy lifestyle like do yoga pranayama and also eat fibre rich foods have plant based diet more and stop using aluminium utensils for cooking

A. I would just like to tell you that when you resume your periods after your delivery initial initial six months are very unpredictable sometimes you may have period sometimes you may not have it properly sometimes you may just not have it for a month or so so they could be various things which are possible but if you’re facing any discomfort then you can connect with your gynaecologist for that otherwise it would be normal
