Q.

Hi..I am a mother of 3 year old baby girl..she complaint maximum time,she had foot pain at night. I gave her multivitamin A to Z.. should I give her D3 separately?

A. yes needs to be given separately. there are multiple causes of limb pain during this age because it can be normal due to growth pain. it can also occur due to nutritional deficiency mainly vitamin d, vitamin b12 iron and calcium deficiency. if there is excessive playful activity by the child during the daytime it is but obvious that during the night time there might be limb pain. if the limbs are paining without any activity then yes medical examination and treatment will be required

A. Yes sometime it could be due to efficiency of vitamin D3 and B12 as well so supplement if you’re already giving one that’s fine but you need to get it evaluated with the doctor as a separate supplement would be required as per the deficiency that the child is having
