Hi i am a mother of 3 months and 20 days old baby. She is doing loose motions from last week . I have visited to paediatric . He has given medicines but still now no cure properly right now. Still she is passing loose motions . kindly suggest what to do next

A. Loose motion could be because of some infection or if chronic than could be some malabsorption. Initially you can give zinc supplement for 2 weeks and probiotic like econorm sachet for 3 days for two times a day. For any specific treatment consult your doctor and maintain proper hydration . can give khichdi mashed potato ripe banana poha if the baby is above 6 months of ag maintain proper hydration by giving plenty of fluids.
