Q.
Hi I am a mom of a 18 month old girl. my kid used to pronounce words like mama, papa but lately she stopped saying these words and keeps on speaking gibberish however she ofter responds to her name and does eye contact but interact in her own language. is this normal?

Baby start to say monosyllables like ma, da at 6 -7 months of age.
And Bisyllables like mama, dada, at 9-10 months of age
Baby start to say 2 words at 12-14 months of age
And jargon speech come at 15 -16 months of age.
Baby can speak simple sentences of 2-3 words at 20-24 months of age.
Some babys achieve these at early and some may be delay in achieving that.
No need to worry for that.
Spend more time with ur baby only
Encourage ur baby to speak
Avoid overcrowding of multiple languages at home to speak with baby
Better to speak in mother tongue and teach that language to baby first

First of all if you are giving any screen time to the child stop doing that get some flashcards in certain toys which are based on education colours and different perspective and play with your child with them try to go ahead with sand spending as much time as you can that’s going to help try to build in a communication relationship by conversing more that is also going to help
