Q.

Hi, I am 35 years and have a son with c section who is 5 years now and I'm an expectant mother. I was advised for double marker which showed Trisomy 21 positive and was advised for NIPT in which my Trisomy 21 was low. However, d XO was shown at high risk, now I am advised to go for Amniocentesis. R there chances of high risk for d child. can d NIPT FOR XO be true

A. if double marker is showing high risk and as well as nipt xo is high . it's better not to continue with the pregnancy. so first have a second opinion with all your reports to genetic specialist and then decide for amniocentesis

A. Hello dear parent! Just follow your doctor’s advice and get all the tests done. High risk pregnancies need a thorough medical supervision and support all through. Trust your doctor and everything will be fine
