Q.

Hi I am 13 weeks pregnant now. I took Torch test on April 5 2025 where i got Rubella IgM positive with 1.76 and doctor asked to take Rubella IgM and Rubella Avidity on 17th April. Now my Rubella IgM is also positive with 17.5 and Rubella Avidity is high with 73%. What does it mean? Is there any complications will occur in pregnancy or to the baby? [Note: NT scan is normal and Double marker test is low risk and screen negative]

A. In some cases it has been seen that the infection is going to subside eventually over the period on its own only without any hassle and resort create any pregnancy hassles but sometimes it can happen later it can show an adverse effect on the child may be there can be .1% chance to because I’ve been to the similar which is why I am telling you that but it’s a very very rare chance rest everything goes well so there’s no problem as such
