Hi, How can I help my 5 months old boy to gain weight?? I feel as if his weight gain has stopped. He is exclusively breastfed and feeds on demand.

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children3 years agoA. baby will be gaining tremendous weight in first 3 months of age only afterwards the weight gain will be less baby having two times the birth weight by the end of 5 months and it is only three times by the end of an year

If you feel that your child is not gaining weight with the breastfeeding that you are giving a try giving formula feeding and see if the weight increases because a lot of times the breastfeed of a mother has good quantity but the quality reduces with time so maybe that would be the reason
