A. Hi Mom, your baby weighs good, nothing to worry. as baby's weight growth depends on birth weight, we can expect to baby to weigh 500 gm.to 1 kg more in a month, double at 6 months and triple at the age of 1 year as per birth weight. small deviation is absolutely fine. continue exclusive breastfeeding to baby for complete 6 months. feed on regular intervals, follow good hygiene avoid force feeding and overfeeding.

A. Ideally, babies should double the birth weight by 5th month and then gain 200-220 gms per week. Your baby's weight is perfectly fine right now. Keep feeding food fully and frequently alongwith 750 to 850 ml milk everyday and 2-3 times healthy semi solid foods and finger foods.
