Government hospitals follows national immunisation schedule which includes all the necessary vaccinations that shoulda be given to each and every baby all over the country..these vaccines provides immunity against more than 90% deadly infections..while other vaccines are not included because of availability and affordability issues..
this schedule provides a uniformity in the country..and these are atleast vaccines which should be given to each and every baby..
While, private practitioners do give options for vaccines other than the vaccines given in national immunisation schedule like pneumococcal vaccine, typhoid, HPV vaccine, Rota virus, influenza..some vaccines are given only in special or high risk conditions like meningococcal vaccine..
these vaccines are also recommended by Indian academy of Pediatrics and are beneficial for babies…
