hi dr. very good morning my baby is feeling like vomiting durning the having any food, she has high grade fever last month and fever was repeating in every next one week since then my baby is feeling like vomit when she is eating something, I consulted to many pediatrics still not fine . could u please tell me what is happening with her,

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Fever is a reaction of the body to different pyrogens released during any Infection. Usually temp more than 99 F is taken as fever .
Mostly in children fever is because of viral infections like flu or RSV where the fever is there for 4-5 days but may persist even upto 2 weeks .
Initially antipyretic like paracetamol is given in a dose of 15 mg / kg/ dose. Can bje repeated after 4-6 hrs if needed .
Lukewarm sponge bath can be given as home remedy to decrease fever.
Adequate fluid intake is also beneficial.
Urine output monitoring is necessary to avoidx dehydration .

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr 1 m old girl2 years agoA. Hi i understand. try to place a wet cloth in forehead. This would reduce the heat instantly also Let the cloth not be too cold. Keep monitoring for temperature. If the temperature is more It's better to check with your doctor and follow his advise. That would be the best and safest option.
