Hi Dr. This is sriram My new born baby aged 12 days having bleed at her vagina part for first 8-9 days , Actually it is reduced now .. Is it ok or should take any precautions.??

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 7 m old boy3 years agoA. Newborn Vaginal Bleeding. Baby girls can have some minor vaginal bleeding. It can start any time from 2-10 days of life. This is normal and called false menses. The cause is the sudden drop-off in the mother's estrogen (a hormone) after birth.
