Q.

Hi Dr. This is sriram My new born baby aged 12 days having bleed at her vagina part for first 8-9 days , Actually it is reduced now .. Is it ok or should take any precautions.??

A. Newborn Vaginal Bleeding. Baby girls can have some minor vaginal bleeding. It can start any time from 2-10 days of life. This is normal and called false menses. The cause is the sudden drop-off in the mother's estrogen (a hormone) after birth.
