Swathy SamiveluMom of a 3 yr 7 m old girl3 years agoA. Hi! My daughter is two and a half months old. She is on exclusive breastfeeding.
She had a sticky left eye just last week with a bit of yellow discharge that got dry and didn't let her open the eye. Yes, her eye was watery. However, there was no redness. I used a fresh clean cloth and lukewarm water to clean her eye up using a dabbing motion. I repeated this only when she struggled to open her eye. We luckily had her vaccination scheduled that day. So, we were able to check with our pediatrician who suggested the cause could be an infection that will usually go away in a day and asked us to bring her back if there was redness. The condition went away in a day and she got better.
Not sure if the following helped. I noticed my left eye had additional discharge though not yellow during this period. I took more water and buttermilk.
