Q.

Hi Dr, I’m concerned that my 2-month-old baby is not responding to sounds and not following faces or objects with eye contact. Could you please advise if this is normal or needs evaluation? Thanks

A. A child can’t respond to sounds but they generally try to take their head towards that side from where the sound is coming and when you talk about following the object and all that is not happening right now because the child doesn’t have a clear vision it happens after the age of three months complete after that slowly you will see what you’re looking for but if you feel the child is the child is not at all responding to the sounds then check with your doctor
