Q.
Hi, does baby take feed less and face issue in digestion when baby having cold and cough. I don’t know if my baby hAs cough and cold, but it gives gurr and choke sound very loud after breast feed and face trouble in digestion as feel uncomfortable during burping and many times cough as well. Also. Baby’s nose had mucus in nose for which I have given 2-3 drops saline water. Please advise.

Cough and Cold along with the symptom like Fever loss of appetite irtritability could be a feature off viral infection or seasonal flu where most of the time csupportive treatment is given. along with that cough expectorant and decongestant with antiallergic medicine given. steam inhalation can be given frequently to relieve the symptoms.

Yes Due to discomfort kids normally do not take proper feeding when they have cold or cough congestion so it’s very normal for them to reduce down onto their feeding so you can also nebulise your child along with the medicines that you are giving that is going to help and nasal drops are of course the best to use
