Hi Doctor, Why my daughter puts everything in her mouth like wall plaster or something she found on floor she is 16 month old

A. this problem is also known as pica due to iron deficiency as well as nutritional deficiencyd children place dirty things in the oral cavity as well as they may lick soil or they may lick the walls. they may place footwears in their oral cavity. meet your doctor becaused iron supplements needs to be started and give food rich in iron

A. Pica is a sort of disorder with kids where they like to eat everything which is in edible in nature and that’s when they behave like this and the second could be that your child may have started to have it during that time also you can see the similar kind of behaviour with your child but if it is PICA you better check with the doctor 1st please
