Q.

Hi doctor, my son just completed 3 years. But i his height and weight is low according to normal weight and height chart. So how can I improve his height and weight.

A. Hello Mom! To boost your child's overall growth and development (height and weight), he must eat all good groups. Make sure you are giving him paneer, ragi, palak, banana, curd, moong sprouts, different dals and tubers like sweet potato. Give him nutrient dense foods like - sweet potato tikki, aloo Paratha, paneer pulao, cheese frankie, fruit lassi, ragi nuts ladoo, sprout bhel etc.

A. hi dear The first month of life was a period of rapid growth. Your baby will gain about 1 to 1½ inches (2.5 to 3.8 centimeters) in length this month and about 2 more pounds (907 grams) in weight. These are just averages — your baby may grow somewhat faster or slower.
