Q.

hi doctor my son is 7 months old and he was into breast feeding for 6 months. Now we are giving him rice dal but his stool is very hard it's been more than a month but the stool is same. I have visited pediatrics they have given some medicine 1. Neopeptine 2. Simethicone, dill oil, fennil oil drops 3. Lactulose solution This all medicine m giving him at night as per the doctor prescribed. It's been now more than 10 days but the still is still very hard baby always cries when he try to pass the stool. please help me what should I do should I visit some other pediatric or should I continue with the same medicine. food which m giving to my baby is morning biscuits then papaya afternoon moong dal and brocoli evening suji night moong dal and brocoli as per doctor prescribed

A. diet modification will help to reduce constipation, avoid biscuits, banana. offer well cooked, soft, semi solid food. Add veggies n fruits in weaning food. Give some water after giving solids.
