Hi Doctor, my son is 20 months old. He is not yet speaking. He can understand what I'm saying, and can communicate well to me by pointing or making sounds. But is not using words. When prompted, he says one or two, but does not use them often or on his own.

A. good evening you have to be patient and wait for a couple of more months before you can expect the child to be able to say words on his own just be patient for another 4 or 5 months
