Hi Doctor, My older son is afraid to poo. Most of the time, he tries to hold it in, and when he overdoes it, he just does it in his pants. What should I do? Even though we tell him to go to the bathroom.

You have to teach your child that it is very unhealthy to pass a motion into the clothes and gets very dirty you can have infections and all also and it’s very unhygienic for you to clean those dirty clothes also explain it to the child that I am going to hold you when you want to go to the toilet so that you do not fall in the commode because kids are actually very scared of falling in the commode so try this and regular counselling would be good say tell me I will take you to the washroom but it’s not good to do it in the pants
