Hi doctor my daughter is 6 mnths old . can I gv her water? And in a day how much?

A. Yes you can now start giving water to the baby as baby is six months old and initially start with few sips of water a couple of times in the day to the baby

A. Yes actually babys milk has got enough water content in it. Additionally water isn't required. Giving water will fill baby's tummy with zero nutrients. And later because of fullness they avoid having milk wich is full of nutrients. Water is just seri calories rather milk can be given which already has water content in it. But after six months as they take solids too it's good to give few spoons now n then
