Hi doctor, My daughter is 1 year 4 months old..she has got cold ,fever and cough.we consulted the doctor and giving the prescribed medicine..am not sure about the foods to be given.. could you please advice the foods that can be given during fever, cold and cough..as of now am giving idli and Rava kanji..Thank you

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Cold is a viral illness and symptoms could be sneezing, running nose, cough sore throat, nasal congestion and fever.
Treatment consists of antihistamines antipyretics analgesics and decongestants .
steam inhalation would be beneficial .
Medicines like sinarest/wikoryl / Alex cold calon be given in a proper dose according to the weight for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
