Q.

Hi doctor, My baby was born premature and her birth weight was 2.25kg. now she is 2 month old and her birth weight is 3.3 kg. is it satisfactory? In the first month she had gained only 250gm (urination was way more than 8-10times a day) when i was breastfeeding her, so I had to supplement her with formula. can I go back now to exclusive breastfeeding? How much weight should she gain weekly to know that she is having enough nutrition? Thanks in advance.

A. the minimum weight gain in one month should be around 500 grams and if it is more than it is preferable and the minimum weight gain everyday should be more than 20 g
