Hi doctor My baby is 8 day old his total bilirubin is 14 and direct bilirubin is 1.7 Why direct bilirubin is high and what should be done to lower it

A. its very high. its better to consult your paediatrician for proper examination of the child and start treatment as advised by your doctor. opt for hospitalisation if advised by your doctor

A. You’ll have to keep ur child into photography land once it reduces down then the child will b discharged so it’s ok :.. Here I would like to tell you very simply that it’s very normal with kids to have jaundice at this age so please do not worry about it it can very well be taken care of by the
