Hi doctor, my baby is 4 months and 11 days old. Is dandruff and hairfall normal? How can this be controlled?

Lovleena MishraMom of 2 children4 years agoA. Hair fall is common till the age of 6 months. It might not be dandruff but cradle cap. It causes white coloured scaly crusts on baby's scalp. It resolves on its own. Massage with coconut oil or almond oil. Brush with a soft bristled comb to loosen the scales. Wash with a mild shampoo twice a week. In case the dandruff is excessive, please consult with your doctor.
