Q.
Hi doctor my baby is 3month old and was suffering with cough for which doctor had suggested levolin syrup.Also his paediatric had started tonoferon syrup which i am giving from past 3days. Whenever I give the syrup he vomits it out.Today he didn't vomit after taking the syrup but he had pooped a bit of red substance in his potty. Does tonoferon syrup affects the consistency of potty and colour.Please advice.Photo attached

Author of questionMom of 2 children2 years agoA. I hope this is iron which has come out which was not absorbed by body.Coz those red stains are not looking like blood but the stains look like iron syrup

No it does not affect the consistency it in Mausi turn the motion colour black which is very common thing it is not going to affect the consistency of the motion of your child to need not worry about it this is completely normal could be due to medication that you giving
