Q.

hi doctor, my baby is 2 mnths old she is always passing stools frequently up to 20 times per day while crying, sneezing, coughing and we consulting to a doctor even though there is no change and it's being almost 3 weeks it keeps on the same.. is it any any major issue?

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme prepgarations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be tavoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .

A. Frequent poos are often a good sign that your newborn is getting plenty of milk. As your baby's stomach fills up, the milk stimulates their digestive tract, giving them the urge to do a poo.
