Q.

Hi Doctor, My baby girl is six month old, I am giving brest feeding, I have started feeding buffalo milk as breast milk is not sufficient for my baby. Is it good to feed buffalo milk. Can you please also suggest solid food(Which items will be good). Can we start Rive and Dal. FYI, We came from US on 5th Jan and will be here for few months.

A. baby is 6 month Cows milk or buffalo s milk can be given from 1 year of age till then it's advisable to get ve breast milk or formula feed you can also add sugar or dry fruit powder in the milk after 1 year

A. Hello good evening !! Until 5 completed months exclusive breast milk or formula milk is suggested from 6 month onwards start semi solids once a day and grad twice a day and rest of the day milk either breastfeed or formula feed. No buffalo milk/cow milk/packet milk is not suggested untill one year because below one year babies can't digest animals milk. Fruits and vegetables puriees mashes cerelac, oats Dalia, sooji porridge/Kheer . Mashed rice with dal/curd/rasam from 8 months onwards.
