Hi doctor, my baby completed 1 month, now from past 3 days she is going hard stool with little difficulty. And I am doing combination feeding and using naan pro excella for formula feed. Could you please let me know why hard stool happens and is it good to give formula feeding?

ExpertDr.Sabiha AnjumObstetrician and Gynaecologist1 week agoA. If there is not enough milk supply, then there is no way other than to resort to formula feeding. It is very common for babies who are on formula to experience constipation.

Add some fennel seeds into the water that you boil for making formula that will keep the stomach cool and also will help in better digestion of the milk hopefully with that the motion would be easier and if it is not then you can ask your doctor advise you with a stool softener
