Dr Adwiti SinghMom of a 10 m old girl2 months agoA. Hi! At 8 months, it’s very normal for babies to eat very little solid food — especially while teething or if they’re moody. Breastmilk or formula is still their main nutrition at this age, and solids are more about exploring tastes and textures. Some days they eat more, some days barely anything — and that’s okay. Keep offering a variety without pressure, and let him lead the way. Please don't add salt or sugar till 1-2 years of age.
As long as your baby is gaining weight steadily, active, and meeting milestones, there’s usually nothing to worry about. But if you’re unsure about weight gain or developmental progress, it’s always good to check in with your paediatrician for peace of mind.

You should add necessary salt and spices into the food with whatever you are offering also check if your child is having its teeth as that can really be a very big reason behind loss of appetite so you can go ahead with checking for both of the things and give more of liquid to the child
