hi doctor mera beta 7 yrs ka hai.aur i found a change in him ... suddenly he started picking up things from dustbin...like dirty mask,empty bottle empty cartens, cardboard box,empty chips packets ,and so on...and I asked him many a times k yeh kyun nikala ....but no reply...aur chupa leta hai vo cheezein...i m worried about him...i ve no idea whts going on in his mind.... plz help...plz do reply

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. There is no specific way to prevent pica. However, careful attention to eating habits and close supervision of children known to put things in their mouths may help catch the disorder before complications can occur.
