hi doctor I m 14week pregnant.. ny nt is 2.4 mm and my dual marker is 1:138 high risk. my doctor advised for amniocentesis.. I m very much tensed as I heard that this test may cause misscarrage. can u pls suggest what should I do.

A. Amniocentesis is being performed very commonly these days yes there will be a risk for abortion but it will be low. As the ratio you got is more towards an anomaly in the baby it is advisable that you get it doneWrite Your Answer Here
