Hi doctor, I had gestational diabetes during pregnancy and my baby is of 40 days now. After delivery my sugar levels was back to normal. Now I see spike in my fasting sugar levels Does this mean I have developed diabetes? What could be the cause for my fasting sugar level to go high and how do I control it?

ExpertDr.Deepinder Kaur DhawanObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. gestational diabetes is often llinked with hormonal fluctuations.. after delivery.. you may suffer from hormonal fluctuations till one year...so you can continue your medications as advised by your doctor if required
