Q.

Hi Doctor, I am currently in 26th week of pregnancy. Iam diagonised with Gestational diabetes. I have been advised to monitor my blood sugar level. Also I am taking metformin 500 twice a day.. With that sugar level is under control. Once in 2weeks after breakfast there had been a spike. Can you guide me on this?

A. hi would be mom i see lot of gestational diabetes cases would advise you to take a proper dietary consult with a qualified dietitian and not take random suggestions for this case sugars can be controlled with appropriate diet and also babies growth should not be hampered so dont worry and please consult a qualified dietitian
