Q.

Hi Doctor, Age of Baby - 16 months Baby is having fever from yesterday . Temp is fluctuating 99 and 101.9. Max time temp is 100.2. Only once the temperature was 100.9 I.e yesterday midnight. Giving crocin syrup 5 ml every 4 hours. Other symptoms nothing is there. Please suggest.

A. Any temperature above 100 F is fever in babies Always measures temperature in armpits only. No need to give any fever medicine if fever is below 100 F. If asociated complaints like cough, cold, loose motion Treat that accordingly as per ur pediatricians advice. Keep ur baby well hydrated. Baby should pass minimum urine 6-8 times per day. Visit ur pediatrician once. mml

A. Thank u Dr. Pandurang Any other symptoms like cough, cold, loose motion are not there. Baby is having only fever. An measuring temp in armpit only. Just now I checked temp is 99.2
